∽ 2011 Champion 2 Year Old Filly
My Miss Aurelia became Stonestreet’s first Eclipse Award Champion, delivering on the promise of her $550,000 yearling price at the Keeneland September Sale. Purchased by George Bolton, who later sold a half-interest back to Stonestreet, she raced in partnership and quickly established herself as one of the top juveniles of her generation.
Undefeated in four starts at two, My Miss Aurelia captured her maiden, the Adirondack (G2), the Frizette (G1), and the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1), earning the Eclipse Award for Champion Two-Year-Old Filly of 2011.
After a layoff, she returned at three to extend her win streak to six with victories in the Mandy’s Gold Stakes and the Cotillion Stakes (G1), defeating eventual champion Questing (GB). She finished second to Royal Delta in the Breeders’ Cup Ladies Classic (G1) and third in the La Brea Stakes (G1) to close out the year. At four, she placed in all three of her starts, including runner-up in the Ballerina Stakes (G1) and thirds in the Azeri (G3) and listed Shine Again Stakes. She retired with six wins from eleven starts and earnings of $2,547,000.
