Astrology broke his maiden in his second career start at Saratoga, defeating G1 stakes winners To Honor and Serve and Data Link. Later that season he drew off by 2 3/4-lengths in the G3 Iroquois S. and ran second by 1/2-length in the G2 Kentucky Jockey Club S.

In his first two starts at three, he ran second in the G2 Jerome S. and G3 Sunland Derby. He retired having won or placed in 9 of 12 lifetime starts, earning $516,977, including a determined 3rd to Shackleford and Animal Kingdom in the G1 Preakness S.
