Springside

As a 2-year-old in 2008, Springside turned in a monstrous effort when she took the Grade 2 Demoiselle Stakes at Aqueduct. She not only won, she won by a widening 9 ½ lengths. Unfortunately, the filly took a bad step while being pulled up, and it was revealed she had fractured her right front pastern bone. Happily, surgery was successful, and although the stakes winner never raced again, she is now a broodmare. We bred Springside out of the stakes-winning Digression mare Folly Dollar.

Strike It Rich

During a three-race winning streak in 2010, Strike It Rich claimed the Grade 3 Boiling Springs Stakes at Monmouth Park. In her start before that, she won the Little Silver Stakes. We bred Strike It Rich out of the Dehere mare Belle of Perintown, who was a graded stakes winner in her own right. We purchased Belle of Perintown privately before she had her first foal. That filly, Sumptuous, was sold as a yearling and went on to place in three stakes. Then, we bought Sumptuous back as a broodmare for $410,000 at the 2011 Keeneland November mixed sale.

Striking Dancer

Striking Dancer upset the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes at Santa Anita Park in 2010. The determined runner came four-wide into the stretch and rallied under urging to gain the lead in deep stretch and proved the best over her foes. She beat an accomplished filed that day, which included champion Stardom Bound. Striking Dancer also placed in multiple graded events, including the Grade 2 Falls City Handicap, Grade 3 Doubledogdare Stakes, and Grade 3 Stage Door Betty Handicap. We bred her out of the Danehill mare Dancing Shoes.
